Featuring a polished hemispherical concave working tip ground into a tapered, rigid steel shaft, the Series “03-285” forms, rounds, and burnishes raised metal beads in pavé, micro-prong, channel, and bead settings. The precision-hardened tool steel maintains its inner concave geometry under repetitive impact and hand pressure, burnishing ductile precious metals—such as yellow gold, white gold, platinum, and silver—without flattening, deforming, or scratching adjacent gemstone crowns. Fitted with an industry-standard 2.60 mm shank diameter, these grainers mount securely into wooden graver handles, universal setting handles, pneumatic power engravers, and mechanical handpieces across 23 graduated sizes ranging from Ø 0.25 mm (#00) to Ø 1.35 mm (#22).
